Role

Community Development Coordinator

This individual will work closely with and be supported by our Directors and would be ideal for someone who would like to offer their help, without having to commit to regular work.

Community Associate

We need people to work closely with families in the community, many of whom are refugees that have been placed in housing following incredibly traumatic and stressful circumstances. These individuals can often feel isolated and unfortunately often lack support. It is our experiences of families in these stressful and daunting circumstances that led to us establishing our Community Associates befriending programme.

Our team of Community Associates are matched with individuals and families to act as a point of contact for them. They conduct monthly visits to chat, support and answer any questions; they can even help with small errands if needed.

Some of our individuals and families do not require regular face-to-face contact with someone but instead, benefit from a weekly phone call from one of our volunteers who can ‘check in’ to not only see if they have any concerns but to provide an opportunity to develop relationships with the local community.
